Exciting news! After months of hard work, reems of paperwork, planning and funding applications, it is official; Harleston Greenspace CIC are the proud custodians of the meadow on Rushall Road; a new community greenspace secured for local people, by local people.
Our planning application for conversion of the grassland from agricultural use to public amenity space was unanimously approved by South Norfolk Council on 24 September and we have a management use agreement.
Over the coming months we will be undertaking biodiversity surveys, ground improvement works and lots more, to make this little corner of our town a place for both people and nature to enjoy.
We are presenting the vision at the Masonic Lodge, off Redenhall Road, at 5pm on 6 November, where representatives from the environmental bodies will be on hand to answer questions. This is when we release our sponsorship packages. We are sure that this will be a popular event, and spaces are limited. So, if you would like to come, please register your interest at: greenspace@naturerecoveryinharleston.org.uk
We are committed to delivering the project by April next year, so it is going to be a busy time. If you are interested in helping, or would simply like more information please email us at: contact@harlestongreenspace.co.uk

The real work now begins.
